GENERAL CATALOG 4° volume first part

With the publication of the first part of the fourth and final volume of the General Catalogue of the Works of Alighiero Boetti, the work undertaken by the Archive since 1995 to reconstruct and catalogue his oeuvre is nearing completion, offering scholars, collectors, institutions and the art market the most comprehensive overview possible of his work.
This volume continues the scholarly examination of the artist’s work, initiated in 2009 under the direction of Annemarie Sauzeau Boetti and Jean-Christophe Ammann and now led by Agata Boetti and the Archive, following the methodological approach established in the previous volumes.
This publication brings together the Maps, the Tutto, the Grandi Ricami, the Biro, the Aerei, the Kilims and the Tappeti, all works created from 1988 until the artist’s death in 1994, presented according to a typological criterion, so as to highlight formal recurrences, technical processes and their variations.
